Lens flare

Lens flare is a photographic effect that occurs when bright light sources, such as the sun or a spotlight, enter the camera lens and create a hazy, washed-out look in the image. While lens flare is often seen as an unwanted effect, it can also be used creatively to add a sense of drama or atmosphere to an image. Lens hoods, filters, and positioning the camera in relation to the light source can all help to reduce or control lens flare.
