Positive space
Positive space is the opposite of negative space and refers to the main subject or subjects in an image. It is the space occupied by the subject, as opposed to the empty space around it. Positive space is important in photography because it is what the viewer will focus on and remember. It can be emphasized through careful composition, lighting, and other techniques. By using positive space effectively, photographers can create powerful and impactful images that leave a lasting impression on the viewer.
